Off Road H pipe+Tuner to shut off rear O2=?

I want to experiment running a custom off road H pipe with my Bassani BX street mufflers. I want to get a tuner to shut off the rear o2 sensors.
After doing a search it seams that many people are still getting a check engine light after turning the rear O2's off!
I don't want to spend $400 on a tuner and still get a check engine light!
I already tried Mil eliminators from Brenspeed earlier last year and still got codes (rear O2 slow response...).
Seems like the 2007 Mustang are just to sensitive to mods...Are there any MIL eliminators specifically for the 2007 out? I know there is a specific Diablo Tuner for the 2007...

I have the XCal2 with Brenspeed tunes for both cars and no CEL's. If the rear O2 sensors are still on, it's because they were not shut off in the tune. Brenspeed and Bamachips turn them off automatically.

Darkfire GT, thanks for your input.By the way, what if I just want to turn off the rear O2's and NOT tune the car? Is that possible? I just don't want to switch to higher octane fuel...Plus since my car is a "stick" it "feels" just fine the way it is...

The only way to actually turn it off is a tune. Some people have had luck with MIL eliminators, some haven't. As much as you like your car, you'd be surprised at how much your car will wake up with a custom tune. You don't need 93 or even 91 octane for a custom tune. 89 will do just fine. In my area, 89 is actually cheaper than 87, due to the <10% ethanol content. You can even get tunes for 87, but I wouldn't personally go below 89.

You can get an O2 sensor extension. They work by moving the O2 sensor out of the direct flow.

In reality you want to turn it off with the tune. Not just the code and the O2 sensors, but also the extra fuel that is used during COT. You will need to turn off those COT controls too.
