Exhaust question.
First off I did a rather intensive search, but there is so much written about exhaust I found it impossible to find exactly what I was looking for. so heres my question

I originally planned on getting long tube headers(bbk,kooks,hooker) followed by an o/r H pipe, and magnapacks. I am more concerned about performance than sound.
1. What might I gain with just an o/r H and some good mufflers?
2. Is the performance gain in headers worth the extra 500+dollars?
3.Are magnapacks a good muffler to follow an o/r H?

Although the stock exhaust manifolds are good and better than the earlyer mustangs, they still could be replaced. Personaly for the $500, they are worth it, especialy if you are going to get a poweradder or dip into 12s N/A.
The magnapacks are a GREAT exhasut and would IMO, be great with a O/R pipe. O/R Pipes usually give a +5 HP over midpipes with high flow cats and even more over a stock H. Magnaflow is SS so it will stay looking great. Good job in researching. Good luck.
