Oil Breather Opinions

I just wanted to get some opnions from you guys. I see that there are some small mini breather caps that replace the hose on top of the oil filler neck to the throttle body. I guess then you are supposed to cap off the throttle body hole after installing one of these breathers. I was just wondering if you guys think this would do anything good or bad or just for show or something? Thanks in advance.

The prev. owner of mine put one on.....i havent found a special purpose that mine does. it does look cool though

I put one on because my oil fill tube wouldnt fit the valve covers..
