Oil deposits on spark plugs

Car has been hesitating and seems really robbed of power. I pulled a spark plug and noticed oil deposits on it. Then I took the plate of my edelbrock intake and noticed a good deal of oil in there. I searched the archives and found that the pcv is probably jammed up. So I have three questions..

1. should a new pcv take care of the oil in the intake?
2. are the oil deposits on the spark plugs probably a result of the oil in the intake?
3. would all of this cause the car to run the way it does?

Thanks in advance

1. If you are correct in it being pcv, then it may take care of the oil problem, if there isnt a bunch still in the manifold.

2. Possibly, unless you have worn valve guides and/or piston rings.

3. Most definitly, i bet its hard to start as well as having the hesitation. more than likely it is probably misfiring too.

Thanks for the reply...i'm assuming it's just the pcv because i have less then a 1,000 miles on the motor.

Oh i just noticed the stroker name, it still wouldnt surprise me that you might have ring issues, though i doubt it; it is still possible.

Why havent you pulled the pcv out and cleaned out the intake yet? That should tell you if its bad. if the thing in the pcv shakes and isnt clogged with oil, thats not it.
