oil fill cap blew off

i bought this car recently and i installed a MAC cai but the tube running from it to the oil fill tube is closed off becasue it has aftermarket roush valve covers which i pour the oil in on the drivers side valve cover. it had a push-in cap on the valve cover. What kind of oil fill cap or breather do i need to release the pressure in the crankcase which caused my cap to fly off?
 
There is a PVC valve that releases the crank case pressure... Its located in the back of your lower intake and has a vaccum line going to your upper intake. It also would be a good idea to get a VC breather to stick on there. It takes a 1 5/8" breather.
 
i would also note that using a breather allows unmetered air to be ingested (that is why the stock routing is how it is). seems like enough guys dont care about that and have no side effects, but it is worth saying (if one is running forced induction, that is a different story, but even then a turbo PCV works well, usually).

What's the deal with forced induction and having a breather as opposed to the hose?

on a N/A car unmetered air can cause some issues. forced induction brings on a whole 'nother bag of problems. with the tuning done for the positive crankcase pressures, a breather can be forgiven more easily and it is often better to have a small leak (which does not necessarily display the same issues as it would on a N/A car) vs having crankcase pressure start taking out seals. blown guys tend to run rich anyhow so unmetered air is not a huge issue.
