Okay all, I got a question for you...Has anyone ever heard of an oil filter breaking the can away from the base? This is a first for me, I am not a mechanic, but have been working on cars for a little while.
The car is a 2000 GT with a Paxton novi 2000 - with that in mind, I talked to a friend and they said it might be the pressure relief valve is stuck in the oil pump. I would figure though the oil would release through the SC. Since the oil line is run right from the pressure sensor location.
The engine was just rebuilt (as I was putting it back together) and I have confidence in the builder, but I am at a loss at what would cause this.
Any help would be great…Thanks

We took it to a shop and they checked a bunch of stuff, ended up being the fuel filter replacement that did it. Keep in mind the filter was 2-3 days old at the time haha. We got fram to eventually pay for shop expenses and everything though
