I have the typhoone upper and lower intake manifold. I removed the upper to polish it and notice alot of oil in the lower intake manifold. I also noticed alot of oil on the pcv valve... What could cause this?

Thanks in advance.

A bad pcv valve and screen will cause it. If its clogged its sending oil thru the vacuum lines and running into the upper manifold. Replace it! Its only like $20

No prob. I had the same thing happen to mine when I replace manifolds and didnt get a new PCV valve. If you notice the vacuum lines that its hooked to feeds into another vacuum line that feeds right back into the manifold. Not a good thing if you have oil in there. good luck.

A new screen and pvc definitely helped my problem with oil getting into the intake, but I still get some going through there. =/

As far as I know, the intake always gets oil in it. Mine had to be lifted up to get at a vacuum line recently and there was a puddle in there. It hasn't been off since late 2001 so .

I had the sam prob with the edel intake. I tried new PCV valves, and built a new oil baffle that was almost as large as the stock one.

I gave up and expoxied the pcv valve shut.

I still have the tube from the oil filler to the intake track so im still venting any stuff out.
