My '98 GT w/ Manual Trans is leaking oil.

The rear-most bolts on the oil pan have oil dripping off the heads; however, oil is also dripping from the retangular opening at the bottom of the bell housing.

Previous owners says the rear main was replaced back in '09 & he thinks the mechanic did something to the oil pan gasket ... but I see no reason why the oil pan gasket would've been disturbed during a rear main seal replacement job.

The oil leak is pretty persistent ... any ideas on the most likely source of the leak?

I'd say rear main again. If it's dripping I would think your loosing a substantial amount due to pressure pushing it out. You could try to snug the pan bolts a little to see if it helps though.
