Oil leaking through air tube

On the drivers side valve cover theres the breather tube that connects to the air tube. I have oil splatters around it. Just wondering if thats normal of if I have another issue? Car has almost 40k on it and I do play in the higher RPMs a lot so I figure its just oil splashing up high enough to leak out the connection. If no one knows what I'm talking about I can take pics.
