Yesterday I started my car by rolling the vehicle and poping the clutch anyway it back fired and it blew the intake manifold. Also its dropping oil; does the intake carry oil by any chance? The oil splatter is by the back of the engine where the manifold broke. Any suggestions??

Wow, I haven't heard of that one before.

I would check the valve cover gaskets for the oil leak.. the only oil going in there should be just a tad from your pcv valve to the throttle body.

Ditto, this is a new one. Like sgarlic said, check the valve covers.. no oil 'should' be in the intake manifold. If there is, obvisouly something is leaking into it, then out of it...

Well I took off the elbow from the manifold and there is a BIG hole. It seems like the bottom half of the manifold blew off, also the block has a hole about 2inches in the last cylinder of the passanger side. I found a motor from a 2000 Mustang GT, anybody has some info on the swap? Thanx

Yeah tell me about it. I also found a 98 Cobra Motor with harness for really cheap (1100) is it worth it going though all the hassle? It does not have ac compressor, power steering pump, basically its just has the crank and water pulley are any part interchangable(sp?)?

Haynes, Chilton, or factory service manual has step by step procedures. Every vehicle owner should have one of these books at the very least.

Yeah I do have one of these books. one quick update: I decided that i'm going to purchase the stock replacement and rebuild with pi heads and intake manifold. I do have experience rebuilding motors, but only with Honda's and Acura's so is there is any website with articles on rebuilding please post them. I'm going to do a search on PI heads but if you have a website post them up, it will help alot.
