Oil pan leak?

Yes you will have to lift the motor to change the gasket. I would replace with a stock 1 piece unit- they work the best. Know, are you sure it's the pan gasket thats leaking and not the rear main? Usualy the pan gaskets hold up very well, but rear mains go frequently in these cars.

im not sure, the only info i kno is "a slow leak from the oil pan" its on a car im looking into buying, i mean im going to look at it before i buy it, but im not sure yet. hopefully it is a rear main seal... you would just have to drop the tranny and remove the flywheel to replace that right?

Yep, but it's a bit more than a "Just" type repair, about the same degree of work as a pan gasket, a bit easier, but not much. Either way I would not let this get in the way of the purchase, but It would be good cause to look a little deaper at it before forking over the cash.

yup, it takes a litte bit of work but you can do it, i also have a 93 and my oil pan was leakin, we had to loosed the motor mounts and jack the motor up a little bit. the hardest thing is getting it out because of the k member. we used a mr. gasket gasket, its blue and has a metal core and rubber coated, put a little permatex on it and it sealed great. job took about 20 hours all together, good luck :)
