Oil pan questions HELP!!

Hey guys, i bought a 7 qt morso oil pan, and i cant get a oil pickup anywheres for it, i was wondering if i can use my oil pickup that i have now? or if not where can i find one that i can get to canda by next week...THANKS a million!!

no. the stock pick up wont work with the aftermarket pan. it will be way too shallow.aftermarket pans almost always require a different pick up. i havent seen an an aftermarket pan work with a stock pick up but i may be wrong. i built/machined racing engines for about 3 years a few years ago.

ok thanks alot for the info, sucks that i cant use the stock one, and thanks for the link man i maybe order it tomorow!

any more opinions?

make sure you get the clearance right.....check and recheck it. should be 1/2 in from bottom of pan. good luck.

how do i check it? and do u mean my new one or my stock one? i really want to get ym car back on the road, the guyy i rodered my pickup from keeps saying its on back order, that was a month and a half ago.i could probly get one from summit in a week ?

measure from the mounting surface of the pan to the bottom of pan. than measure the block surface to the botton of the pickup. they should be 1/2 difference. pickup being smaller number.
