oil pan

I am currently looking for an oil pan for my new engine...need one this week. I want a 7qt pan but dont want clearnace issuse form it being too deep. I also have a TFR Main stud girdle and Melling oil pump. Is there anything I should look for in general or certain pans that just wont work..

I use Cantons on most of the motors I build for customers. I use them not just because I get a good deal on them but because from expierence they are hard to beat. I have never had an issue with clearance. They make one made for girdles...

if you go with a canton, you'd prob want the 15-620S. it is the one i am using with a girdle/windage tray.

well thanks for the help guys, It looks like I am going to go with the canton (damn they are expensive after gettting everything you need)

If you paid more the $270 for a kit (pan, pick-up and dipstick) your paying too much...
