Oil Pressure Sending Unit Connector

The connector I got from LMR keeps coming unhooked.
Has anyone used an electrical ring terminal and a couple nuts for the connection?
Also, should they be brass?

I cut the one off the factory harness years ago. Crimped a ring terminal on the wire, put a flat washer on the sending unit, ring terminal, flat washer, lock washer, and then a brass nut. Never had an issue.

Are your washers, lock washer and ring terminal brass?
I have a steel ring terminal, 2- steel nuts. I have 2 brass nuts I can use also.
I believe the connection on the sending unit is brass?
Not sure if it's wrong mixing dissimilar metals?

This is what I have so far. I'm going to add the washers and lock washer.

You might be able to give the LMR connector a squeeze in the right spot to help it grip better

This except I use a ring terminal for the auto meter electric then the factory connector on top ofit if I want that to work, sending unit ohm range is the same for the canister style and 2241 autometer uses with the short sweep gauges.

Yes, I tried that a bunch of times, but it kept coming off after a while.
The problem with the LMR connector is that is too small. When you finally get it on, its already out of shape and won't stay on.

But now I'm going with the ring terminal set up. At least it will stay on.

Dielectric grease helps a lot.

You can also use blue loctite or even anti-seize between metals to slow galvanic corrosion.
