Oil pressure up after oil change

My oil pressure was at say 30 psi when cold and 25 ish when warm.I did my oil change today and now it is at 50 when cold and when it warms up it fluctuates between 35 at idle and 55 psi revving.I am glad it went up.Just thought I would let some of the other guys with low oil pressure know,maybe it'll help.

Did you use a different oil filter then what was on it? How about oil viscosity? Did you go thicker? Those two things, if changed, will change the oil pressure.

I have no idea what brand of oil was in it and it was pretty thin.I put in valvoline dura blend 10w 30.I switched brands on the oil filter so I am sure all that did it.

new oil = better compression = better oil pressure

try some 20w50 synthetic.......

You prob have a thicker oil now then before.
