hmmm...now that i have an autometer oil pressure gauge i can actually monitor my motor kinda. I mounted it in the stock location, using 10w30 mobil 1 fully synthetic which i changed ~1500-2000 miles ago and the dipstick still reads well into full. My oil pressure is ~25 at idle, and halfway between 25 and 50 (so...37 or 38) at cruising. that seems kinda low to me....am i right??

what does this mean for my engine?? i thought it woulda been ~50ish? just looking for opinions i guess.

edit: i guess it could be burning oil...that would cause lower oil pressure right?? i guess i'm just looking for someone to explain oil pressure to me and everything that could cause a loss of it.

yeah 25 when hot a little higher when cold. i was just worried about the 37 or 38 when a cruise (2000 rpm or so). i dunno, i just remember someone saying it should be around 45 or 50 at cruise.
