Okay guys well I made a very stupid mistake in the process of building my engine. Well I dropped in my oil pump driveshaft in from the top. :D Then I realized the dumb mistake i have made which then ended up in the biggest PITA process. I have got the oil pan off and the oil pump too. Now the question is I haven't started or run the engine yet. I took off the oil pump and you know that block to pump gasket it is still there. I wanted to know if I should replace that gasket or not, there is no damage to it and it was brandnew. The only thing is that some oil got onto the gasket is that okay to have some oil on the gaskets surface? And then I have no idea how the wiring went on my alternator I know there are 3 wires that hook onto it just kinda confused where they go.

Guys I really need to know about the oil pump gasket PLEASE. I have a lot to do and not much time to do it, I have finished everything this is all that is left. Is it okay for the gasket between the oil pump and block to have some oil on it or does it have to be dry. Keep in mind the gasket is new just got oily.
