OK Carb Guys, questions for you.

Good afternoon folks,

And thanks for all the advice on my sons power steering issues, still not resolved, but much, much better.

Now on to next, new problem.

Carb seems to need re-build. No big deal here. But thought before investing in carb kit etc I would ask, is there a better aftermarket carb? Your recommendations etc.

Remember the care is a 66 coupe, I-6, automatic and we are restoring it for my 14 yr old to drive when he comes of age (that would be Dan) So mods are good, but we are not looking for street racer performance. Mileage, reliability, easy cold weather starts... OK, maybe a bit more performance..... This is what we are looking for.

Thanks in advance.

Next issue: Brakes, I suspect that we will be heading to the pull and save for pieces to turn it into a disk brake car... but that is for later this Summer..... much later.

Thanks

Greg (yup I am "Dan's dad)

for the I6, just a good rebuild kit on the stocker should be fine. Make sure the engine is in good shape and check for vacuum leaks. You will be fine. I also recommend changing the master cylinder out to a dual bowl if you plan on running around with drums for awhile.
