Ok the other day i re-timed my car it was way to advanced causing bad dentonation...So i backed it down a tad and the car is running fine now no pinging...But yesterday i went to go start the car and it started right up but ran crappy the check engine light came on it stallled...stumbled and smelled like gas like it was loading up...it ran that way for about 2 minutes and then cleared up and hasnt done it since..this morning it was fine...the only thing i can think of is it was raining for the last 2 days something got wet...I dont know..what could it be can the TFI module be going bad?...O2 sensors any ideas...

What timing are you at? and did you pull the engine codes?

No i didnt pull the codes i'll do that today...timing is set at stock 10 degrees...

Usually the TFI acts up when it gets hots. If you have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator you might want to pull the vacuum line off and see if there is fuel in the vacuum line. The smell of gas could also be the charcoal canister malfunctioning as well. Just a few quick ideas.

Yeah this did it on a cold start and it rained the day before the car sat overnite so im wondering if something got wet the car hasnt done it now it 3 days now...

you could have gotten moisture in your distributor cap and causing it to misfire and not burn the fuel.

That is very possible hasnt done it again since that afternoon...
