ok i need to know if a 351 cleveland motor will fit im my 67 mustang coupe? or how to make it fit? if at all possible. what all i need and so on.. or if its just a no go all together. the reason i have decided to go ahead and go with a new motor is because well the 302 i have in there now just keeps giving me problems. i dont know who all was folling the flywheel vibration problesm i was haveing. but if you were i fixed that. but now the radiator blew on me on the way home.. and well i was about a mile from my house so drove it the mile and when i got to my home i heard a nice ticking sound. so well im just tired of that motor. so any help on a 351 cleveland swap would be nice. if it will fit.. but if not how about a 351 windsor i know it will fit.. btu i dont knwo what ll id have to change on it... so can any one help me out on how to do the cleveland swap what all i need to make it fit and what trany i should use with it. rightnow i have a c4 auto.

A cleveland fits nicely, but be prepared to deal with the small stuff. A friend has a 351C in his '67 and he spent big bucks on headers for the swap. The rest is fairly starightforward, but requires a little fabricating talent.

My friend has an older strip dominator (don't ask me what brand) intake and street Demon carb and has a stock hood, so I don't think he has any clearance issues, as for the rest, I couldn't tell you (mounts, etc) But I do know he had to fab some stuff. It couldn't have been too hard, because he's not that great of a mechanic/fabricator! Better be ready to pay big time for aftermarket parts. Those motors are fairly rare compared to Windsors and as such nobody makes much in the way of intakes, heads and such. He paid nearly $400 for his intake used on ebay!
