Ahhh, the sweet sound of ... nothing. I've had an exhaust leak so long I'd forgotten what it was like to drive without one.

Where did you find them? What is the part number? I have a leak that sounds like it is coming from the motor but I forget how far in front the headers are in relation to the driver's seat.

what brand are these gaskets. i went to my local napa and they couldnt find it. i gave the part number 31540 and nothing came up.

any help?

Grab a tape measure and ask them if you can run thru the gaskets....Usually all those exhaust ones are lined up in a box or something....Look for a 2.5" I.D. hole and your good to go...Just dont get em to thick, like a 1/16 or so is cool...
Thats how I found the on above...looked thru em all til I came across the right size...

Don't use gaskets.. They leak after a while no matter what. Just do what I did, have it welded... I only have 2 gaskets on each side where the headers meet my H-pipe, from the H-pipe on it's all welded.. And I keep a close eye on where they meet the headers.. Checking it atleast once a month.

Having it all welded does eliminate any chances but then it makes it a pain to take it down as u have to cut it...then u have to go back to the shop to have it put back together and welded back up.

when i went to Napa. the guy looked in a catalogue, and it didnt match anything. i told him its a 2 bolt pattern and he said they dont make a 2 bolt exhaust gasket. i said whatever and left

i'm gonna go to another place to see what they got.

its a leak coming from my drivers header to h-pipe. its annoying when its cold but almost goes away when its wared up. the guys who built my h-pipe didnt align it perfect to my stock headers and now its even worse with my Mac unequals. i'm gonna have to modify the pipe a bit but want to run gaskets just in case too.

Yea, my exhaust leak started when I switched from mac lts to bbk. Time for a trip to the parts store...

THANKS ANDY!!!!!!!

i went to another parts store last week and told them exactly what i wanted. a collector gasket with only 2 bolts holes and 2 1/2 opening.

he flipped throught a dynomax/walker catalogue and found it. the part number was 31337. when i got the gaskets, they looked just like Rio-5.0's except these had the metal ring in the opening. so andys gaskets are a walker/dynomax brand for you guys that are interested

put them on today on both sides and started the car up while i prayed.

right when i fired it up i almost **** my pants. NO EXHAUST LEAK!!!!!!! it actually sounded quite LOL. took it for a drive around the block to see how it sounded and i love it. it sounds nice and solid. it actually feels alot better according to my SOTP meter

so whats the moral or the story today kids???????

dont buy headers LOL
