Put new valve springs on my friend 87', Started bending push rods, he swears that his 1.6 stud mount Crane Roller rocks are not adjustable. he thinks his cam timing is off, but it ran fine before we put better valve springs in, So are those stud Mount rockers adjustable? is his stock push rods too long? cause when he took off his valve covers off, the lock and a retainer just shot off and the lock was pretty messed up.

So what is causing these push rods to bend? Any Ideas would be appricated.

Yeah thats what is causing the pushrods in too bend, but it ran fine had stock valve springs, stock heads, stock pushrods, W/ f303 cam.

All we did was change the valve springs too the one the cam calls for

the 1.6rr if they are stud mount then they are adjustable, pedestal mount are not adjustable. If he has those 1.6rr, tightened all the way down on the stock head pedestals then it is wrong, you have to get the conversion kit to make stud mount work correctly on a pedestal mount head. If he has the rockers tightened down all the way to the pedestal on the head, then you should be getting far too much lift therefore, when the spring bottoms out and the pushrod is still coming up, bending the pushrod.

I think that would be a good guestimate of what is happening
