ok i had a wrong plug wire hook up now. the back fire and sputerring at 200o rpm is still there. now im goind to swap out plug wires and adjust timing and check the plugs for soak gas on them. now my question is this all happened when i hook up my msd box. could i have screw up my tfi module. some auto parts guys tell me its like a switch either it works or it doesnt is this true. now if none of this works its going to a shop i already did the codes nothing but emissions that i dont have anymore. oh yeah my msd box is not hook up anymore.

actually they arent like a switch. they will go out of you slowly. they have a high rpm side and a low rpm side...from what i understand. but it could be going bad. take it off and have the parts guy test it

I think theoretically the box will work, or it won't. All of the voltage to signal the coil is going through the box. Now, there are two 'modes' of opperation to an MSD... below like 3500 I think (could be less) is when you get the multiple discharge for every 'fire'. Above that though, the coil simply does not have enough time to energize and re energize for mulitple sparks, so it simply has a slightly bigger spark than stock.
Def check everything over again and make sure it's in good working condition, the move to the box, then double check that too.

MSD boxes are prone to problems. The stock ignition is good to 400 HP unless you are using pressurized induction or NO2. I would try and run the car without the MSD box.
