I have a 1997 GT Automatic, which i installed a 03' PI engine into. I have done most of the traditional mods, such as 4.10:1 gears, BBK catless x pipe, BBK CAI, BBK fuel pressure regulator (42psi @ idle), Walbro 255lph fuel pump, I'm running the pink top 21lb stock injectors from the 2003, and i'm in the process of installing the NOS 05115 Ford EFI dry nitrous kit, and a MSD Dis-4 ignition system. First question, are the smaller secondary mods such as a slightly larger throttle body, or shorty headers really worth getting? Is there going to be a noticeable difference? Second question. I have a new Bama Tuner and am wondering if that will work with the MSD in regards to timing. I want to be able to run a more advanced timing curve when not using the nitrous but want to be able to command a high rpm retard of the timing when using nitrous.

Throttle body yes. Shorty headers no. Do long tubes or don't bother.

You need a nitrous and a naturally aspirated tune. Don't run bama please. Canned tunes are no where near as good as a dyno tune from a professional.
