Ok, What the *&$% is the 25LB weight behind the foglight for?

Just extremely curious what a 25lb weight is doing behind the passengers side foglight. It is on a 95 vert. GT. Maybe weight distribution? Thanks

Yep, suposed to reduce cowl shake. I lost mine a few years back & have had no problems.

yes, only the verts have them. it's suppose to dampen the cowl shake or something like that.

yep, verts only for cowl shake. i took mine out over a year ago.

took mone out it shakes a lil' bit but nothing to write home about if you have good shocks and struts you would never notice evn with stock stuff you wouldn't notice i think.

Mine sort of fell onto my face when I took the last bolt out. I had no idea that it was cast iron, that thing is heavy for what it is.

I almost had that tatooed to my forehead. I was working on it outside with no light, and later found that it stated clearly the weight.

Paper weight. It's easy to get to. One bolt on the foglight bracket is a PITA though. Gonna install subframe conns. monday, so I ripped it out

I took mine out and put it back after I noticed a lot more cowl shaking. That's me though..takes all kinds to make the world go round. I have subframes and was wondering if I could pull the weight after installing those and not feel the shaking..please report back!
