I've seen a few posts and it appears that there are some minor differences between the '05 and '06 GT's....Can anyone shed some light as far as what differences their may be parts-wise? I would just hate to take for granted that an item says 2005 and find that for that particular part it is different...Take for example the front end shocks/struts deal...

Computer

The computer is different and so are the wheel styles. When I spoke with Superchips about the 05 programmer not working on my 06 they told me the comuter on the 06 was new and that I'd have to waite for the 06 programmer. I think I read somewhere that they changed or added different colors.

Looks like they changed the exhaust tips - on my '05 they weren't noticable. Added JBA axel back, much better sound and appearance. Have an '06 on the way, and brochures show chrome tips coming out the back. Someone other than me must have noticed I guess. Still going to change it, either loudmouth or MAC, not sure yet.

I know that a couple of colors were added. Tungsten gray and some new blue color. New 18's were also added. One set is a fan type look. The other is the bullet style. Both wheels are polished. As far as a computer change, I have not heard this. Polished exhaust tips were on my 05 as well as my 06. A trunk light is in my 06 that I did not notice on my 05. I would be interested to know if there are any other changes.

My 05 has a trunk light and the polished tips on the exhuast as well.

My '05, which is a year old now has the trunk light but no polished tips on the exhaust. Weird.

in the 06 book from the dealer tehy show chrome tips with a rolled lip. thhose are the ford accessories tips, dont know why they put em on but its only ion the book not actuially on the car.
