old but fun to watch

At about 1:28 it looks like the SSP actually passes around a blue LX right after the narrarator says "fully loaded, 5 point 0 Mustang."

Actually, ithink the entire dash cam was from a Mustang.

The narrator makes it seems like the Mustang shows up halfway into the chase, but if you look at the hood lines, it was always the 5.0

Just throwing my .02 in here since I am a 5-0.

Any car in a chase is going to get beat to death. Sorry. As long as the chase is legitimate, the car can get wrecked from this side of Monday to the next. As for jumping the ditch...the car is the LAST thing on your mind when you're trying to catch someone. You put the car where you think you have the best chance of ending the confrontation...now. It looked like he went down to try and block the car in the yard. Plus, the camera makes everying look slower than it really is. When you've got the adrenaline pumping, and you're cruising at 100+ in traffic, things happen FAST. Did anyone else notice that the trooper passed traffic on a blind curve in the opposite lane...on a bridge?

As for buying an SSP car... every cop drives different. There are guys that I work with that tear up their cars all the time. I drive hard, but only when necessary...and my car stays out of the shop and drives like the best dream a crown vic could aspire too...which may not be saying much, but at 96K daily patrol miles, it has few very problems.

Bad@ss chase though. We live for that stuff!

all you cops are just adrenaline junkies, that like to beat smart ass kids up.

i can only dream of beatings smart ass kids up, and playing with dogs and mace
