OKAY SO here's the deal. My car was prefiring, changed the distributor to fix that. Starter was running on, changed the solenoid. Starter still SOUNDS like it's running on, but i don't even know anymore. The problem is once I get the damn thing to start firing the second i let off the key it dies. No more spark. The ignition is still hot though, so i don't know what the deal is. Any takers on what's going on?

Prefiring??? Almost sounds like an ignition switch, or least that was my first thought but don't take it too seriously. So what you are saying is it cranks and fires until you let off the key?

I'd say ignition switch as well unless the solenoid is acting up, but not likely.

OKAY so I checked some voltages AND here's what i found. The wire that comes from run on the ignition switch is getting 12V going to the module. The wire that comes from start isn't getting anything.

I've replaced everything EXCEPT the damn ignition switch, so I guess that's my last idea huh?

It's so much easier with a wiring diagram to see what i mean. On the ignition switch, when the key is at start and when the key is at run.

Make sense?

When you try to crank the engine over, the "start" wire should have voltage.

No. I just checked my voltages. SO it's possible I blew out two ignition modules and have to get another one... that's the only thing i haven't replaced twice already. I'm so close to just giving up. There's no reason for this car to not work... None at all dammit.
