??? on mil eliminators

Got my x-pipe today and my speed shop told me the mil's are on back order. Plan on installing the x-pipe so the check engine light will come on. Is that a big deal and can I install the mil's when I get them next week?

It won't hurt to have the light on. When you put on the MIL's you have to disconnect the battery. That will clear the light if it comes on. My MIL's haven't worked for a year, so I get the light all the time. I just ordered some new ones yesterday.

It shouldn't hurt anything. The only thing is the inconvenience of not knowing for sure if your CEL is on b/c of the exhaust.
