Well.. my problems don't seem to end and they couldn't have come at a better time too.

When I first got my car, I had a sort of squeak as I turn the wheel in some places, but not in all.

I took it to the dealership and they fixed it saying some things needed to be oiled. Well the problem is back again, and now my warrenty is void.. so what do I do? Is it a large problem or just an issue of annoyance? They're tiny squeaks in between select places while I make rather large turns. Any help would be great guys. Thanks.

i prob. wouldnt be too worried about it. maybe just call Ford and ask them what exactly they oiled and what they used. You could probably do it yourself.
On a side note, how do you like the 3.90 gears? how much did you pay total, for the gears, install, and recalibrating the speedo??? did u have an ECU reflash to correct the speedo, or did u go with a chip?

I had a similiar problem when I would turn my wheel...they replaced my rack and pinion....first time they lubed it, but it came back. Then they raplaced it. Why is your warranty voided?

3.90 gears are great, not too much, not too less.. right in between what a 4.10 would give you with not so steep RPM's while cruising.

BTW - Would gears, steeda CIA, pullies, and sway bar void warrenty? I'd like to get this steering wheel prob taken care of before I get my blower thrown on. Thanks.

A buddy of mine told me today that it's more of an annoyance issue then a bothersome worry.. is this true or could this escalate into a huge problem? Thanks guys. BTW - it's a minor squeak, but does get on my nerves.

Its a mustang.. they squeak. Theres several places on the suspension for an oil gun.

Anyone know if my mods will void the warrenty on the steering wheel squeak? Would the blower void it for sure? Thanks. I kinda wanna get it fixed before I get the blower put on hopefully.

Well I have an appointment for Tuesday (tomorrow) at 12:30 at my dealership. I'm praying they fix it by tomorrow also seeing that I'm getting blown on Wednesday. I'd much rather have the problems fixed before I make this much of a drastic change. Gear Leak update - So far the RTV stuff I put on the outside housing of the gearbox (where the gasket is) seems to be holding the oil off.. however I still have yet to drive her hard with this RTV sealer on so cross your fingers everyone.

Your mods shouldn't affect the warranty considering nothing I see would have any direct impact on the steering or anything related. Technically, the warranty is not void until something you put on the car causes the malfunction. If they oiled it last time and didn't charge you for it and put it under warranty, then there's no reason they shouldn't do it this time.

i had the same issue on my 02 GT.it turned out to be the steering rack bushings.they were worn out.
