One less Mustang among us!!!/tech Q???

Well my completely rust free absolutely beautiful 93 Lx hatch is totalled. I was leaving a swap meet in West Springfield, Mass and when I pulled out some jackass was in a hurry in the oncoming lane and pulled strait out in front of me. NOTHIN I COULD DO!!!

At this moment i'm waiting to hear back from his insurance comany. The adjuster came out today and I plan to do what I can to keep it. It's got a ton of parts I can use on my 88 including the rear hatch. The only damage was the hood, front light and bent frame. Sad thing is it still drive PERFECTLY.

On to my tech question. I'm sure I could figure it out myself but the 2.3 in my 88 is dying a slow death. I'm going to be buying a 351 very soon to swap in but in the meantime I want to put the 2.3 out of the 93 in. It ran perfect and even with the Auto would spank my 5 speed 88 all day.

I know the computer systemes are different (i.e. 4 plug vs. DIS) I know it more then just that but anyway....

1) are the cranks the same....i.e. unbolt the flexplate and bolt up flywheel.

2) How tough is it to pull the harness and swap computers?

3) Exhaust should bolt right up?

4) Anything i'm missing?

Good point! Although would the automatic computer just just tell the tranny when to shift? It wouldn't need to so it would almost be an extra feature that I don't need.
