After a recent trip to the track I discovered I have the dreaded one wheel peel. I was wondering if I upgraded to 31 spline axles and traction loc would the ring and pinion gears have to come out? If so, then I guess it would be an opportune time to swap in some 4.10's. THX
The ring gear definitely has to come out when changing to the 31 spline T-Loc. It could be used on the new T-Loc, but if you're looking to upgrade gears, it would be best to do all of the upgrades at one time. Good luck!
Thanks for the replies. How many of you that have 4.10s regret going with that steep of gear? This car is no longer my daily driver but it does see some highway time now and then. I hope to have a 6 spd in it late next year. I'm thinking with the six speed 4.10s should not even be an issue.
Which traction loc would be better the FRPP one or an Auburn? THX
