I need help on wiring up my stock gauge with my new one wire alternator once I get it so I have no problems. The one wire is a GM modded to fit Ford that puts out 135amps and is self exciting so you only run one wire to the solenoid. I have that done, but I want my stock gauge to work. There are 2 wires in the wiring harness from the gauge. One is red with an orange stripe, and one is yellow with a green stripe. I need to know which one goes where. Can I put both on the pos. side of the solenoid? Should I leave one unhooked? This is in an 84 Capri RS but is the same as all early mustangs with external voltage regs, but thats all gone now with the one wire. Anybody have a clue. All help is appreciated. Thanks
