Online Friends (nothing to do with Stangs, I Know)

So anyways, I've known this girl from Canada strictly online for about 7 years now, we talk all the time. She is a really good friend, we can talk about anything. I don't want to freak her out but I want to meet her, and I really love her a lot, in a best friend kind of way. We kind of talk about this from time to time, but I'm not so sure she's ready to meet for real? I really think we could be together we have sooo much in common it's not even funny. I just don't want her to think I'm a freak. Ugh, this sucks. It's wierd, I only know her from the internet but still, we've talked so long it's like I really know her. OK, maybe I'm just rambling because I'm a little uh..anebriated...I'll stop. Any comments regarding this issue?

er....anyone got a hot sister? maybe i needa just get laid

I had a friend that I only talked to online for three years. Me and her ended up talking a lot on the phone. Never met all the sudden we stopped talking one day and never heard from each other again.
You do seem to be freaking out a lil over this though maybe you need to just get laid! LOL

Met a girl online, we have talked countless times on the phone. She lives in Houston, I'm in Ohio. She's getting married soon, and so am I. We have never seen each other in person. No big deal.

Pretty cool, actually. My fiancee knows about her, but not sure if her man knows about me.

Some things are just weird.

Have you talked on the phone? Are you close? Don't go spending a lot of money to meet. If it happens, it happens. Are either one of ya in a relationship with anyone? How does she feel about you?.

yeah, she's like 16 hours north of me. we're both single. i'd hit it if i could haha

i told her after i go thru basic and tech school and get settled i'd fly her down, then we got into like a 3 hour discussion about relationships and yada yada yada.

I've met up with a few online friends that were girls. Hell my first gf was a girl i met online. Talk to her on the phone for a while and see how that goes then plan it out. Maybe you'll get lucky and things will work out for the 2 of you. Good Luck

heres something that totally blows my mind.

one of my best freind is going out with a girl he met online about 4 years ago when they were 14. they actually met in a metallica chat room. they talked on an off for 3 years. my freind never made any mention of her during that time nor did he do anything with any girl.

so all of a sudden last august he tells me about her, and since hes not really the lady type im like GO FREAKING SEE HER!!!(she lives in PA). so the end of september i was on my way to ocean city maryland so he said hell follow me and then go see her. So we went and met her. Apparently they started "going out" 3 days before he met her. I met his girlfreind the same time he did

So now they have been going out almost a year, they are crazy in love, and things are crazy perfect. they talk about marrige and stuff and it makes me want to puke. but, they do seem to be perfect for eachother so maybe it will work out and i will be a best man

You guys aren't going to believe this .... but I met my wife to be online. To some, it may sound lame .... but I don't care. I had what I thought to be a serious relationship. The girl cheated on me. So after that I spent over a year just going out and having a good time. Met a few girls here and there and nothing ever really "clicked" if you know what I mean. So then, about 2 years ago, I met my fiance online. She happened to live 30 minutes from me. She was previously in the military, so things between us immediately clicked. We had alot in common and just couldn't stop talking to each other (online & on the phone). So we met. We fell in love. We've been engaged for a year and a half now (January, '05) and will be getting married in October this year. We're inseperable and fully content. So YES, the online thing CAN work!
