Open X

I have a 99 gt with an off road x and flowmaster mufflers..
Has anyone here just took the mufflers off aand just ran on the x pipe?
If so does it sound like S**** or does it sound good?

Sounds like S***. Its loud enough with the the offroad X. The mufflers just clean up the sound.

I ran around like that for a month or two.

It was fun for a little while and definitely an attention grabber.

However, it was too ****ing loud trying to cruise between 60-70mph, it literally vibrated some interior pieces loose.

Here are some clips of it... the white one. Just an open UPR X, catless. For reference, the black GT has a catless Bassani X and either Borla or Bassani mufflers if I remember correctly.

did it about 4 nights ago when we cut my borlas off we were welding some flowmasters onto my car which sound freaking sick, but it sounds horrible open x dont even think about doing it

I've had mine on an open x too, it sounded like dukie.

yup, i had run it open for a day till i could get it to muffler shop it was so loud but not in a good way it sounds good until you get out of 2nd gear
