Opinion on these Hedman Headers

Hey guys. Ive searched on here and corral. Alot of people say the Hedman headers are great headers, built nice, and fit alright, others say they are the worst design, crappy flanges, weak metal, etc. I have a set of gt40p heads. This guy is selling a pair of headers he says he thinks their hedman, he said the old guy custom ordered them to fit p heads, and he had them modified for extra spark plug clearnce. He said the guy paid 400 for them, and he paid 200 to modify them. I would normally pass up on an offer like this, but he only wants 100 bucks and is throwing in the o/r hpipe. Heres some pics. Not sure what size it is ill have to ask. He said their brand new so they wouldnt have had time to warp or anything.

You guys think I should go for it? Im on a tight budget and if I dont get these ill have to save a few months before I can find headers for the heads.

They suck basically comparable to long tube stockers and the flanges warp real easy just like the mac ones. Go with BBK or FRPP

I dont see how they are comparable to long tube stocks, the stocks are crimped in many places, the flange is a one peice, it shouldnt warp.

I have those headers.. they are ok but i wouldnt buy them again for the fact theres no xpipe that bolts right up you have custom fabricate one. They are nothing special but they work.

My friend has them on his 88 GMC truck with a built up 350 and he paid like 250 for his LT's ....He likes them.

You didnt notice any torque or power over stock?

I noticed more upper rpm power but a little less under 2000rpm.. That was with my old cam. It pulls much harder now. Hedman has been around for a long time their headers are ok and make decent power but the build quality is kinda cheap. On a dyno shootout the hedman xpipe and hedder were on the upper end of things.
