Which to do first, add MagnaFlow Catbacks or headers? Both will be done at some point and the the four cats have already been replaced by two higher preformance ones. Also headers will be short, equal and coated and would like recommendations on those also. Thanks!!!

This is assuming that you are otherwise, "basically stock". Cat-back first. From what I've read here, headers really don't make a huge difference on a stock (or close to) combo. A cat-back does.

Guys will also say that a CAI won't do much good on a stock combo. I noticed a big difference in respose and fuel mileage. If you don't have one, get one. (About $40 on Ebay.)

Engine is stock for now and just about everything under the hood has been upgraded. K&N air intake, new injectors, wires, alternator, radiator, hoses, oil cooler, transmission cooler, battery, fuel pump, water pump under pullys and on and on. Was thinking the same order as you stated cats, headers and them intake maniford with cylinder heads to be followed by body work.

Cat back... I'm still running stock manifolds... they'll be upgraded when I rebuild the engine. Much easier to change when the engine is out of the car.

A cat-back will give you at least a mild erection from the sound. Headers with an otherwise stock exhaust won't. Like you said, do cat-back, then crossover pipe, then headers. You'll be giggling like a schoolgirl in not time

Don't expect much gain from a cb ..........
a hand full of horses ... at the most

If you were talking about LT's
then
I'd say you would get more noticeable gains from them than a cb

With shortys ... and you since you have already committed to a shorty style mid pipe ... you might as well go for the cb option that at least is gonna sound faster.

On a stock Stang ... exhaust mods just do not give much of a performance gain and considering how much you spend on them ... the gain for the buck is not all that hot as well IMHO.

btw ... I'd go regular shortys over equal length style shortys

My GT is basically stock too and i noticed almost no difference when i put my bbk shorties on...for $300 i'd say they were almost a complete waste of money. get a loud cat back and a cheap CAI.

Exhuast may not be the best bag for the buck but it sure does sound sweet, I just cant get enough of that sound, gotta get on it a few times every time i go out.
