Since I hit a deer I need opinions on what the title says. I am pretty set on a smooth(no letters) rear bumper, and probably a stock GT front bumper. I am having problems picking a hood. I thought a Cobra R was the way to go, since I live within driving distance to HO Fibertrends, but I don't know how it will look with a stock GT bumper. I don't want some huge cowl hood either, just something that looks a little more aggressive but goes with car's theme(stock, cept wheels)

Also what does CAPA certified mean for the bumpers???

Go with the cobra-r hood. The double high rise effect looks mean but not over the top. As for the front bumper, i went with the stock cobra bumper because i thought the fog lights had a lot more attitude than the stock boring GT one.

heres my setup:

"stock cobra bumper because i thought the taillights had a lot more attitude than the stock boring GT one."

You mean foglights??? Yea, I thought about that but I don't want a cobra clone.

What rise is that hood? That's about what size I would get if I get one. Your car looks good man, wheels look good on yours

I like the looks of the 2000 cobra r style front bumper and the standard cobra front the best but I'm biased since I own a cobra. Alot of people like the looks of a 03-04 mach 1 chin spoiler on the stock gt front bumper. The standard cobra r hood looks pretty good with the gt front bumper as well as the cobra one.

lol yeah i meant fog lights, and i'm not sure what you mean by "what rise is that hood". Its got two rises if thats what you mean... i think its just the standard cobra r hood.

The "Standard" rise seems to be 2 1/2 inches for most Cobra r hoods.

I meant what is the total rise, over stock, versus the stock hood. I saw HO Fibertrends makes a 1 1/2" and a 2 1/2" rise hood. I would like the 2 1/2, but the back is opened for cowl induction and will actually keep hot air in at higher speeds. As for the bumpers, I am thinking I will just go with the stock GT ones. That way I keep my GT a GT, and I don't have people harrassing me about having a "Fobra"

I think that different company's measure the cobra r hood differently. Some give measurements over stock and some measure total hight. The 1 1/2 would be the same as a stock 95 cobra r

I would say keep the gt bumper if you like the stock look, but i like the mach 1 chin spoiler, roush front bumper (I've only seen it on a few websites), or another that I remembered seeing a long time ago that was a stock GT bumper with another piece of trim that extended about 2 inches below the stock bumper (it blended very well with the stock side skirts) as an addition to give it a slightly modded, but still humble look.

I was looking at some pics on other sites and came accross a Cobra front bumper with molded front lip. Looked pretty good, and went with body lines. Plus it was on a Laser Red car, which is what color mine is.

Yeah that sounds like what I was thinking of. Some company makes the GT and Cobra bumpers with the molded lip all in one piece as well as making the lip as an add-on to existing bumpers. I can't remember the company tho. It had an ad in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine.
