I just got my gauge plate that mounts two gauges under that radio from gaugeplates.com and the quality definatly exceeded my expectations. I want to mount mechanical oil pressure and water temp, however I'm torn between the Autometer Sport Comp II and Phantom II gauges. I was going to do white faced gauges for the stock cluster if I do the Phantom II gauges so that they would all match. I'm just worried about the Phantom II/white face stock gauges looking ricey or cheap. Whats your opinion Sport Comp II with stock black gauges or phantom II with white face stock gauges? Oh yeah if you suggeset the white face setup what white face gauges are the best or which would you reccomend? My interior is black and gray.

I have a 86 grey and black interior and have the Phantom guages. Nothing ricey about 'em. I personally love them.

I have grey interior in my 87 gt and I have a couple phantom gauges as well. Definitely does not look rice at all. They're my favorite style

The phantom II's are sick! My buddy has a sport comp II nitrous gauge and it looks awesome at night. Not ricey at all. The new gauges are super classy. I would go with the phantoms as I am biased to white faced gauges. Check out Caribbean Custom Designs. They have a sick reverse glow set up that would go really well with the phantom II's i think.
