I think I've decided to paint my 91 GT Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic (Late model vette color) but now rim choices.. I'm wanting something a little different without being ugly OR ricey. Give me your honest opinions on this look:



Just toying with the idea, figured I'd get some opinions

Nice color but the rims are super overkill.

Personally i'm partial to sticking with Ford colors but that's just me.

I like it


I just don't like the painted mirror. I'd leave it black.

I'm with 5L5, leave the mirrors black. But I would go with a polished lip on the rims, the matching paint is a bit too much.

I'd also leave the mirrors black...they tie into the black window frame and look out of place painted.

Leave the mirrors black.

I like the rims, but it's not for me.

I love the paint, orange is a great color on a fox IMO.

Interior is black.


Don't worry about the mirrors guys, I'm keeping mine satin black like the window trim. I just ganked someones fox off Google images and photoshopped it. I'm pretty sure I'm painting it that color, just trying to decide what rims (Whether that style, or maybe prostars.. Trying not to copy everyone elses Fox though which is tough!)

gonna agree with everyone else, paint is sick but the rims are a overkill. i think it would look bad ass with some saleens

That color looks similar to the burnt orange peel or what ever that color is ford is running on the edge an a few other cars.

The color combo will look good. What about some black/polished lip Mach 1 wheels? Are you going to paint the engine compartment as well?

Someone help me. Isn't there a mustang from N.H on Stangnet that has a similar color. I remember seeing pics of the paint process or something

I think it looks freakin' sweet. I've always thought about accenting wheels to match the color scheme of my car as a possibility when I go 5-lug. Its not "ricey" if done right, and it makes the wheels look like they more belong with the car. It also makes the car look much more individualistic, because you don't see that every day. You just can't paint the whole wheel the same color, then it is overboard.

I say go for it.

Black mirrors, the rest is actually pretty cool. The wheels actually look neat, not something I would do but it flows nicely.
