Looking at getting a x pipe. Don't want to cut or have to weld anything. Also looking for direction on whether or not to keep the cats or get rid of them. For the time being looking for ones that will bolt directly up to roush axle backs and the stock headers. Thanks yall

I'd keep the cats. They're annoying, but alot of states (like mine...grrr.) require them.

Every state "requires" them. Some, like Florida where I live, don't do any emissions testing or visual inspections. So you can get away with it.

Right. That's what I meant. Some states test for them. Missouri has no emissions testing, but if you have an incomplete exhaust, I think they ding you for "safety."

Hey poopdawg that xpipe has the ability to hook up to the stock cats right? No welding?

What are you gonna run. Mind you live in Florida. If your state was stricter what would you do?

Well I'm gunna run them with no cats at first and see how insane it is. I had an offroad x pipe with the pypes mid muffler catback on my 07GT. It was so crazy loud but it sounded so awesome. You could hear me literally a mile away, if not more.

I have flowmasters American thunder axle back now and from the YouTube vids with no cats, it's crazy loud and tinny. I will wait to reserve judgement for myself. If its too loud, I'll throw the cats back on. But I have never had a car that's too loud.

And as far as if I would run no cats in a stricter state... If they did emissions testing here, I would just leave the cats on.

It's a lot quieter with the cats, yes. They muffle noise quite a bit.
