Well my build is far from a killer combo and is nothing compared to what some of you guys run....but today i bought;

Thumper Heads
TFS1 cam
Tmoss is working on my intake as we speak
New header gaskets
FMS A/C delete kit
ashtray repair kit.......I cant wait to get this in so i can stop using a nickle to hold the door in place

I am going to be ditching the smog equipment, and will be buying MAF and TB and some 1.6 RR over the winter.

So its not a killer combo but i will have into it what i was looking to pay for some nice Aluminum Heads that will someday be in the mix. Needless to say i am excited to get it all here and in running condition...Just in time to put it in storage for the winter

The cool thing about this is it should hit high 12's on stock componants with the exception of the cam.

modding a car before winter starts sucks... all that money and effort to end up in a winter beater

Should be a fun ride though!

Dont worry about it, you can go fast on stock parts, and a high 12 second street car is fun!

Cool, just remember it might take some tweaking and practicing to get it dialed in, but it will make power, and will go fast!

why are you deleting the a/c? Why the car is apart just fix it right. You can buy a bunch of repro parts pretty cheap to make it work perfect.

Flava, can't wait to see/hear the car when it is done. What exhaust will this cam be heard out of?

Do you plan on the switch from the four lug to the five lug after the heads or just leave it stock?

The car is in running condition, i drove it today! I am I am deleting the A/C because i never use it and its nothing but dead weight and one more pulley to spin.
Am i thinking stupid or missing something?

Not stupid, just make sure that's what you want to do. The a/c equipment doesn't wiegh all that much, and spinning the pulley means nothing without it on, literally it is just a free spinning idler.
Car has more value with a/c, and you never know when you may want to use it.
Deleting it really serves no purpose. I toyed with the idea, then one day it was hot and i was in the car, certainly glad i didn't do it.

I hear what you're saying, But here in New York there hasn't been but 2-3 times in the 4 years I have owned the car that i actually turned the A/C on.
I will NOT drive my car with the windows up, so a/c seems like a
waste.

Maybe I should think about it......kinda stupid to ditch the a/c and still have a spare, full interior and all that

Just curious:

When deleting the smog equipment, will inspections be challenging, or do you have a hook up?
