Well I finally ordered the Pro 5.0 for my Mustang. I've been reading alot about the short handle being a pain. Is it bad to the point of being undrivable or is it just an adjustment in seating position that will help???? I didn't order any other handle. Are all other handles a universal fit that will fit right on to the Pro 5.0? I'm 6 feet but do sit kind of further forward than most. What handle works best with this shifter? Thanks in advance.

If you can, I'd call and cancel and get this one..http://www.fordpower.net/forums/showthread.php?t=105237
I'm selling my aftermarket shifter to a buddy and picking one up.
As of right now it's the shortest throw, just read and you'll see.

i had a pro 5.0 on my stang. if u want, just change out the handle for something else. the MGW shifter handle is great. it comes with an adjustable top so u can make it longer or shorter.

Yes I saw that and thought of ordering that but I just didn't feel good about purchasing a brand new design. I figured the Pro 5.0 has been out and proven for quite awhile so I played it safe.

I have the Pro 5.0 and got tired of reaching for third. Once you get it, you will probably know what I mean. I'm only 5' 11" so its not like I'm sitting way back from the steering wheel. I replaced the handle with this:

I like the whole setup of the Pro 5.0. Wouldn't change a thing. I have the seat in almost full recline and it doesn't bother me at all. All personal preference.

I am about 6 feet tall as well and have no problems with the shifter. I never have to reach for any gear. I think it is probably one of the best mods I have done so far.

dont change a thing on the 5.0 those people are just whiners . The shifter is perfect just the way it comes. You bought the shifter for performance. Dont change anything its the best shifter for your stang.

I have had both and prefer the Tri-Ax. IMO.

We've got both the Tri-Ax and the Pro 5.0...and now wish we had two Pro 5.0s. It's just a more solid, more race like shifter.
