I am looking to buy a Bassani system or potentially another brand so, do I order regular Mustang GT parts? Anything special I should know of?

Headers are a waste of time right?

Thanks,

Vince

I have a bassani x w/o cats and it sounds awesome with the magnaflow/saleen catback. I get so many compliments on the sound of the exhaust.

Thanks Justin,

Any issues with deleting the cats (performance or operationally speaking)? I do not have emmisions so I don't care for the cats. So I need to go with a Bassani X pipe, eliminate the cats and go stock to the back????

Thanks,

Vince

I have an O/R H-pipe w/the Saleen/Borla cat-back and it sounds really nice. Not too loud at idle, but at WOT it sounds mean. Same as Justin, I get a lot of compliments.

The only problem is your "Check Engine" light will come on w/o cats. Either get MIL eliminators or turn it off w/ a programmer.( i.e. Predator or SCT) Hope this helps!

Don’t bother with shorty-style headers as they offer little gains. Long tubes are the ticket, especially if you are not concerned about emissions.

I got the Diablo tuner to correct the check engine problem from having no cats.

headers might be considered a waste of time if they are shorties but def not longtubes. shorties probably arent a 'waste' per say but definitely not the gains for the $$ like full length do. i run bbk longtubes, dr gas off-road x and saleen-borla system...sound clip in a thread i posted a little while back burning my pirellis off...probably on page 3 by now if you look back
