Thanks for all the info. I have decided to get the kit they have for $3299.99 it comes with 42lb injectors, Walbro GSS317 (255lph) pump and a chip either from diablo or superchips that is burnt for my application and mods ,is this cool?

from what i've researched, you can have a SOLID, COMPLETE ready to bolt-in kit from T&J for a few hundred bucks more. that eliminates the chips and reflashes the car's computer with an adaptive tune. The guys at T&J have done quite a few S/C kits using the adaptive tune, no internal beefing, and hit the magic 400 rwhp mark...and most importantly, have NOT tossed a motor! Pretty good track record!

hehe...is it just a coincidence that over 90% of the guys on here vote for the Cobra Killer Kit?

I think the best thing about the Cobra Killer kit is not the blower or tune...it's the fact that you got it from TIM. That will make a huge difference in the long run if you have any problems or concerns. If you look on the boards for people who got a vortech kit and had problems you'll probably see at one point or another they are asking Tim for advice.

Buy the Mongoose kit from Tim trust me. You may spend a few $$ more at first but in the long run you will save yourself a ton of headaches. Trust me as I had a 02 GT with the Steeda Vortech Setup (same as Tims kit almost) and I never had a problem yet my friend who also has a 02 GT put the kind of supercharger kit that you are thinking about and he has spent way more $$ than me on tunes alone trying to get the damn thing to stop pinging and to idle smooth.

So in the end...besides the obvious vortech head unit, tubing and mounting pieces...what else are you getting with that kit?

I called them to get more info. The only things you need for this kit are a fuel pump, injectors, powerpipe, and a tune.

I guess you could still make a mongoose kit of out that...might want to give tim a call and see what your options are if your curious.

I did the same thing you did by buying the tuner kit and picking the other parts need .if you still need a maf you can get a lightning maf for $190 i also suggest going to your local dyno and having the car dyno tuned you can usually purchase the chip from them for 300 and have it tuned for 100-200 sound expensive but it gets you more power and let you know what your air/fuel ratio is through out your rpms. This could be very important if you don't have a forged bottom end. good luck

If diablo or superchip Tunes the my chip I wouldn't have to worry about vortechs tunning would I ?

Thanks again

Why dont you try researching this before getting into it. The car MUST be dyno tuned. A crappy supplied chip for your application will proabbly not even let the car startup nevermind having a perfect detonation free 12.5/1 a/f ratio with optimal timing.
