ordering vortech in morning did i get a deal ?

I agree with smith atlanta .I know a guy who got that same kit.But he only made 6# boost,330rwhp .And he still had to buy a fuel pump , and have 2 tunes burned for himm be for he got it staight.Thats why I'm going down to T&J this very day to get a T-trim. Iwill be spending a bit more money but peace of mind is worth a lot to me on my daily driver.IMHO

I think you'll still need injectors, a MAF, a fuel pump, and a tune. It doesn't say on the ebay page but my bets are that you don't get everything you need....

I think this is what you got:

http://www.superchargersonline.com/product_detail.asp?PartNumber=V4FL218-150S

Yeah I think your will need
MAF
injectors
chip
pump

If I may suggest

MAF- 80mm
injectors - 38 or 42
chip - SCT (fantastic for tuning, if your tuner has the software)
pump - Stteda or 03 cobra pump/tank

IMO the tuner kit is better because you have the option to buy the parts you want.

Depending upon what your goals are here's what I would add:

less than 400:
80mm MAF
30# injectors
flash tune(EFI or SCT offer them but you have to send your computer in. It's worth it, though)
Steeda pumps(cheaper than the 03 Cobra pumps but you really can't push them much beyond 400hp)

more than 400:
90mm MAF
42# injectors
flash tune(EFI or SCT offer them but you have to send your computer in. It's worth it, though)
03 Cobra pumps

You have to be carefull when you purchase a kit that is that inexpensive sometimes you do not recieve all the necessary parts. I know i saw a couple of kits on ebay when i was looking that were very cheap BUT they did not come with things like fuel pump, brakets, chip etc things that are expesive when you buy individualy. As people stated before me SAVE your money for a better kit it will be worth it in the end. Good Luck

yeah the IC Novi 2000 kit I've been eyeing in $4,200 for a tuner kit. No injectors, no pump. Just the head unit, pipes, brackets, and intercooler. The Novi Kit is $3,500 for the complete kit w/o an intercooler. But the complete kit has smaller injectors than I'd want anyway.
I guess they're IC is pretty expensive.

Clutchpopper prepare to drop more $$ to get it right. That's not all you need -

Thanks for all the info. I have decided to get the kit they have for $3299.99 it comes with 42lb injectors, Walbro GSS317 (255lph) pump and a chip either from diablo or superchips that is burnt for my application and mods ,is this cool?

If you want a problem free setup. Go with the mongoose by T&J dude. My setup runs ok but the tune i got thru vortech is crap. They also messed up on the tune twice and i waited 3weeks. Not worth it if you ask me. When you try to save money you will be creating yourself a headache in the end.

If diablo or superchip Tunes the my chip I wouldn't have to worry about vortechs tunning would I ?

Thanks again

we cannot stress this enough, dude: you get what you pay for:) simple as that:) I will bet money that you won't make even 90% of the guys running the cobra killer kit with the same mods........to add more to it,.....it's not adaptive, and you risk losing your motor. We're just trying to help you:) Good luck:)

I also agree to go with the Mongoose kit. Before long you will probably have to replace that walbro pump. Then your stock Mass airflow sensor will probably be maxed before long. So that is another chunk of change. If you add all of these other costs up you could easily have bought the mongoose kit. Plus you know the tune will be safe and reliable.
