http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/DMV/docs/vcb/VCB815.pdf

Scroll down to page 16, it lists the Oregon laws regarding tinted windows.

I went 1 over Oregon law and never got pulled over for it in my 05. My 07 will be done on the 28th with the same tint as the 05. It's the least amount of tint that protects your interior from uv rays and my side windows were also done. Just the windshield has to stay the same.

On a side note, I did get stopped in my 05 for my foglights, he thought they were on highbeams (yeah right), and I put my window down as soon as I stopped so he could see me and what or if I was going to try anything "funny" on him. Never said a word about the tint and he could have had me on that. He just wanted to see who was driving the hot car around............HAHA. The 07 is hotter........haha

I chose to go with 30%. I figured that any cop trying to use their color guage would have a hard time telling between 30% and 35%.

I have all the windows tinted on mine, excluding the windshield, and have never had a problem with the law. I bought the car with them already tinted, not sure what percent the driver and passenger doors are, I know they're lighter than the other three. The couple of times I've been pulled over, there was never an issue with the tint.

I went with 15% tint on all windows and have never been bothered by the cops.

light meter is very easy to use. finding a cop with 1 in his car.....not so likely.
