I just saw the 70s version of Gone in 60 Seconds.

Haven't seen this version in quite a long time.

I guess I had forgotten but man they put a beatin on that 73...

Not sure of what motor they were runnin in that thing but it sure sounded like a BB...

It's actually a 351C I think. The car (chassis) was beefed up a bit, IIRC, got it on DVD and there is an interview on the special features where Lee Iaccoca talks about the car.

I think the car still exists and Denise Haliki still has it. All stunts are real, and done on public roads. Not like the re-make with that sissy-fake car!

Actually the website now says 351w. Still exists, and his widow does still own her. My personal opinion is the car is actually a 71 Boss 351-which would make it a c, not a w. It is def. a 71 either way. There were two Eleanors-one for "beauty" shots, the other one is the car he drives most of the movie-the "beauty" car was sold to someone in CA. Hopefully by next year our Eleanor will be done!
