OT: Anyone going to Epping tomorrow night?

Just wondering, the plan is to head up for street night tomorrow night. I'll be running my Uncle's Grand National gnX, and maybe his Black 01 Mustang GT (not stock at all). If we do run it, it will be the first time I've run a manual car, so if you see the idiot roasting through third, well thats probably me!

If anyone is up there, let me know or keep an eye out for us. The car runs low 11s and is a genuine gnX, they only made 547 of them. Just for novelty sake its a neat car. 275hp and 360tq, low 13 seconds runs, from the factory!

Im working so Im not going, I dont know of anyone that is going as far as our other club members. I dont like going on weds/friday nights b/c they dont always prep the track well. I'll prob go again on either a weds/fri night but alot of us want to do a track rental for later this summer, thats the best way to get your best times.

I'm wanting to go. I've been there once before with a different car but am still pretty new to the whole race scene. I really want to run my car (probably only low 15s is my guess) but it needs to be tuned up first and I don't think I'll get it done in time. Its pinging pretty loudly in the higher RPMs and I don't know if it is something I should fix before I try the track. Pretty frustrating actually. If I do make it though I'll definitely keep an eye out. Sounds like a pretty nice car.

Yeah it is something you should fix. What octane gas are you running and what is your timming set at? Sounds to me like you need to back off your timming some or run higher octane gas.

I was just running Regular since I've had the car but today I just filled it with Premium to see if it makes a difference. Hopefully it will. Secondly, I'm still learning more and more each day but don't know how to adjust my timing yet. I've seen many posts on pinging in 95 Mustangs but just am not sure where to start. I guess I'll start with the upgrade in gas and go from there.

Then it is definitely off to the track in Epping.
