from what i read about that pic it was someone from ford who slide off a test track right in front of a bunch of gm guys ! it was in hot rod mag i think .

That's an odd test track -- those skid marks are coming off a piece of asphalt with a sign on it saying "Right lane must turn right"

You're exactly right. It was a Ford engineer driving a prototype. My Dad's friend knew the guy that crashed it, that was many many months ago.

No he didn't, he's one of there head driveability engineers. Maybe the prototype had some driveability issues?
